Criminally insane friends of my 13 year old daughter spray painted their names on a portion of my brand new slate roof. Is there any way to remove this other than replacing the slate?

Damn. Try a standard paint remover solvent, but don't be surprised if you have to replace the slates. The kids should pay for it all.

The airline industry has a paint remover that works great and it is on the market. You'll have to ask a paint pro what the product name is. I saw it on this old house and it worked.
